THE ART OF TEACHING
About
BACKGROUND
CORE VALUES
DfE figures in 2016 show that 50,000 teachers in England left the state sector, which is equivalent of 1 in 10 teachers leaving the profession. In October 2016, the Government confirmed that nearly 1/3 of teachers who joined the profession in 2010 had left teaching within 5 years. DfE figures show that this trend is continuing.
We have found that teachers who are in need of support will need to develop one or more of these three key areas: consistency, resilience and expectations. When these three key areas are strong, they form a good grounding for further professional development.

1 To ensure that every teacher delivers consistently high quality provision for every child
2 To ensure that teachers are resilient, who are adaptable to change and are willing to take risks
3 To ensure that teachers have the highest expectations of their pupils

We endeavour to bridge the gap between schools and the training providers so that all trainees get the highest possible quality of provision, leading to world class outcomes.
